Sage Hill Stables hosts an 8 stall barn with an attached indoor arena, outdoor sand ring, and a variety of turn out options. Our small size allows us to provide individual attention to all the horses!

The Stables: Eight 10’ x 12’ box stalls with rubber mats for your horse's comfort. The barn also has individual tack lockers, feed room, tack room, wash bay, and viewing area with washroom and kitchenette.

The Arenas: 60’ x 120’ insulated indoor arena with plenty of natural light. The footing consists of washed sand mixed with shavings and calcium chloride. 100’x 200’ outdoor sand ring harrowed often to ensure good footing;

Turnout Paddocks:
Heated automatic waterers and safe post and rail fencing. Each paddock has a protective shed with gates close to the barn entrance! Individual and group turn out available.

Pastures: Large treed pastures with wire fencing and access to clean water.

Our Trainer/Coach: Sherry Engerdahl is a certified Level 1 English Coach and Western Rider Level 4. She focuses primarily on developing skill and confidence in each horse/rider combination no matter the discipline. Sherry has recreational and competitive experience in several areas including trail riding, moving cattle, western pleasure, trail, reining, gymkhana and her personal interests of dressage and show jumping. She accredits her formal equestrian education to the two years spent at Olds College with instructor Katrina Mackay-Bosch and continued experience working at three reputable stables in the Calgary area. Her understanding of the horse and rider continues to expand through everyday experiences, equestrian literature and conferences, clinics, and ongoing lessons. Sherry is eager to share the use of her brand new facility with all current Sage Hill clients and all those interested in pursuing their recreational or competitive equine goals.
